Really enjoyed doing the old school drip nib style rendering for this, even though I was actually doing it with an artline.
Kicked things off with some Bruce Timm influenced Batman. Some of the girls didn’t want to draw Batman though, so we did have a ninja, a dancing girl and a dragon man in the same pose.
Another exercise I created for the class I teach.
It felt awkward to me to ink this with an artline marker pen, I really wanted to use a brush, but my younger students don’t have the dexterity to use brush for this kind of work yet.
This exercise I prepared yesterday was a fair bit of work, but I’m happy with both how my drawing turned out and how well the students responded to it.

I’ll also be teaching classes on the following dates:
5th and 6th July, Cowwarr Art Centre, Gippsland
Monday 9th July, Box Hill Community Art [...]

The image above is of the Cryptic Crossword workshop (image by Alexandra Neill), which I wasn’t part of, but looks like fun.

The first half of this year was taken up with working for Visionary Images 4 days a week, tackling National Young Writers’ Festival 2010 and working with David to organise our wedding.
Having run a few events now I thought organising a wedding would be pretty straight forward, but there is a massive cultural juggernaut of [...]
