Visited the Home of Joe and Enid Lyons Today

This photo is from the National Trust website, but I will post some of my photos soon. None of the photos do justice to the colours. Enid really wasn’t afraid of colour apparently.

Also Enid was a big fan of the Better Homes and Garden type magazines. I just came across this great flickr photo set of American interior design from the 1920’s which I think captures the kind of images that inspired Enid in the decoration of her home.

The National Trust staff at Home Hill were very supportive of my project and I’m looking forward to visiting again soon.
